ChaoFanCard helps people organize public cooking-video links into recipe cards that can be reviewed and edited. We use information to provide that service, keep it reliable, and communicate with you when you have asked us to. We do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with ChaoFanCard. Some information is provided by you, some is created while the service operates, and optional analytics are collected only when you choose to allow them.

How we use information
We do not use your information for unrelated advertising profiles or sell it to data brokers. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide any choice required by law.
For people in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis may be performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests, or compliance with a legal obligation, depending on the feature and the information involved.
We use information for the purposes below, depending on the feature and your choices:
- To create and secure accounts, authenticate you, and keep your recipes available across supported devices.
- To receive public links, prepare recipe drafts, show processing status, and let you review or edit the result.
- To save the recipes, folders, tags, notes, preferences, and other content you choose to keep.
- To respond to support requests, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain service reliability.
- To manage early-access communications when you have provided marketing consent and to honor unsubscribe requests.
- To process store entitlements, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights and safety of users and ChaoFanCard.
- To understand website usage when optional analytics consent is granted and to improve the experience.
Public links and recipe processing
ChaoFanCard is designed for links that you are allowed to share and that the relevant source makes publicly available. We may process the submitted URL and available source material to prepare a reviewable recipe draft.
Private, login-walled, deleted, geo-restricted, or otherwise unavailable content may not be accessible or may produce an incomplete result. We do not guarantee that a particular platform, post, share-sheet action, or format will work at all times.
When other companies process information
We use carefully selected providers to operate ChaoFanCard. Depending on the feature, these may include services for authentication and data hosting, email delivery, analytics when you consent, content processing, error monitoring, and app-store billing.
Providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us, comply with law, or protect their systems. We do not authorize them to sell your ChaoFanCard content for their own advertising purposes.
Because providers may operate in different countries, information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Authentication and, where offered, store billing or wallet payment services such as Apple Pay or Google Pay. Their own privacy policies also apply.
Hosting, database, storage, email, and security services that help us deliver the website and app.
Optional website analytics used only after the applicable consent choice.
The platforms where a submitted public link is hosted. ChaoFanCard is independent of those platforms, and their terms and privacy policies continue to apply.
Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No online service can promise absolute security, so please use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant feature, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by category and product state. Backups, fraud-prevention records, and legally required records may persist for a limited period after a deletion request.
We do not promise a fixed retention period for every category until the corresponding production data flow is finalized. We will apply the published deletion process and update this policy when specific retention schedules are established.
Access, deletion, and privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Deleting the app from your device does not necessarily delete cloud data. Account deletion and cancellation of an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription are separate actions.
Children’s privacy
ChaoFanCard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action. Where local law sets a higher minimum age, that requirement applies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product, data flows, or legal requirements change. When changes are material, we will provide notice through the website, app, or another appropriate channel. The “Last updated” date below shows when this version was published.
